Wasl, the asset management group, owned by Dubai Real Estate Corporation, has announced it has instituted 10 scholarships for UAE nationals to pursue graduate studies in various faculties at the American University in Dubai.
Wasl will be covering the entire course fees of the first year, said a senior official. Husam Al Sayed, general manager for Human Resources, wasl, said 'Through this initiative, wasl aims to carry through the vision and commitment of Dubai’s leadership towards its drive to create a knowledge-based economy.'
'We also aim to encourage and inspire young UAE nationals to become competent and confident professionals at the workplace.'
Fresh Emirati high school graduates who have scored at least 85 per cent in their school leaving examinations will be eligible to apply for the scholarship, Al Sayed stated.
'In addition to fulfilling the admission criteria of the American University in Dubai, as part of the selection process, applicants will be required to go through an intensive assessment with wasl,' he added.
