Dubai, UAE: Continuing to solidify its position as one of the region's leading higher education providers, Middlesex University Dubai completed the 2016/7 year by celebrating the academic success of its students across a range of disciplines.
Competing in a range of events, both internationally and across the region, Middlesex University Dubai students continued to raise the bar across fields from ICT to Photography, Accounting to Management studies. Recognitions included Rumana Vakil, Leanne Menezes, Alina Vakil and Rea Dsouza's first place win at the UBF Financial Literary Competition in January 2017 and Ink Club member Yannik Perera's first place win at the Sci-Fi Dubai Science Fiction Writing Competition in October 2016. Leanne D'Souza participated in the presitgious Caltech Hackathon in California. Rachel Simmons won the first place in the Management Category at the 5th Annual UG Research Competition at Abu Dhabi University.
According to Middlesex University Dubai Director, Dr Cedwyn Fernandes, these student successes are testament not only to each student's hard work, but also the opportunities provided through the University's programmes, courses and academic clubs.
