UAE’s Leading Higher Education Event NAJAH Opens Today

UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development inaugurates 10th edition of the show facilitating local and international educational opportunities for country’s youth. 

Abu Dhabi, 25 October, 2016: NAJAH, the UAE’s leading Higher Education event which is now in its 10th year, was officially opened today (25 October) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development in the presence of other dignitaries.

The event provides the perfect opportunity for a school student (Grade 10-12), to meet and discuss their future path with over a hundred prestigious local and international colleges and universities from as far reaching as USA, UK, Japan, Malaysia, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Hungary. Participating establishments include Middlesex University, Jumeirah University, Western Illinois University, Queens University Belfast and the University of Oxford.

Being introduced this year is the ‘NAJAH Knowledge Zone’.  As part of the 10 year anniversary there will be a series of free-to-attend seminars running across the three day event. Aimed at educating students, teachers, counsellors or parents, some of the topics being addressed are; Educating Future Leaders; The Easy Way to Beat Exam Stress; Being the Master of you own Destiny - Chef to an Entrepreneur and Studying at Oxford. Some of the key speakers include Dr. Aisha Al Naqbi, Director of Student Services at Khalifa University; Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Researcher in Astronomy, Meteorology and General Supervisor of the Sharjah Planetarium and Sameer Miglani, Partner at HRM Solutions Dubai.

Supported by the Abu Dhabi Education Council, NAJAH is held twice a year, once in Abu Dhabi and once in Al Ain. Held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, NAJAH is supported by the Abu Dhabi Education Council and the UAE Ministry of Education. NAJAH 2016 expects to attract up to 15,000 students and parents helping them connect with opportunities that can change their future.
